Your Horoscope for Taurus
by Susan MillerAs you enter October, you seem to want to withdraw a little from the hustle and bustle of life, collect your thoughts, and gravitate to your center. You’ve had a lot of demands on you, and as usual, you’ve shown exceptional grace under pressure. October will offer you a proactive path but I feeI I should warn you that November will be quite difficult. Get all your most important actions done now in October—it will be vital to do so.
Also, get your holiday shopping done this month. Apparently, Jeff Bezos has an astrologer because Amazon is starting their special sales in the first week of October! Good! Other big-box companies are following suit. There is no reason to leave gift shopping to the last minute anymore. I am so glad those days are over! Besides, it is important to shop early because the post office and couriers like FedEx and UPS suggest you ship your gifts no later than December 10 or so (and hopefully earlier) if you want to avoid heavy last-minute shipping costs, or worse, not having your packages arrive on time.
The reason November won’t be as productive as October will be due only partly to an oncoming Mercury retrograde. Mercury will be out of phase for almost the entire month, from November 9 to November 29, and mostly in your opposite sign of Scorpio. As you may know, clever little Mercury always begins his annoying pranks and tricks two weeks before the official start date of his retrograde, so that means forget November to be an efficient month. Half the time your hair will be on fire as you try to cope with all the sudden twists and turns that will come up. Don’t sign a contract in November, and avoid buying anything expensive, like a car or computer or valuable jewelry in November. It is never wise to buy a gift for someone you love when Mercury is out of phase—you want to please that person but are likely to miss the mark.
However, it’s not Mercury retrograde that concerns me. It’s unpredictable Uranus, acting in an unusually aggressive behavior on the full moon in Taurus November 5, and again on the new moon in Scorpio on November 20. Uranus will be in late degrees of Taurus before it makes its final move into Gemini on April 25, 2026, to stay for seven years.
