As you enter October, you seem to want to withdraw a little from the hustle and bustle of life, collect your thoughts, and gravitate to your center. You\u2019ve had a lot of demands on you, and as usual, you\u2019ve shown exceptional grace under pressure. October will offer you a proactive path but I feeI I should warn you that November will be quite difficult. Get all your most important actions done now in October\u2014it will be vital to do so.<\/p>\n
Also, get your holiday shopping done this month. Apparently, Jeff Bezos has an astrologer because Amazon is starting their special sales in the first week of October! Good! Other big-box companies are following suit. There is no reason to leave gift shopping to the last minute anymore. I am so glad those days are over! Besides, it is important to shop early because the post office and couriers like FedEx and UPS suggest you ship your gifts no later than December 10 or so (and hopefully earlier) if you want to avoid heavy last-minute shipping costs, or worse, not having your packages arrive on time.<\/p>\n
The reason November won\u2019t be as productive as October will be due only partly to an oncoming Mercury retrograde. Mercury will be out of phase for almost the entire month, from November 9 to November 29, and mostly in your opposite sign of Scorpio. As you may know, clever little Mercury always begins his annoying pranks and tricks two weeks before the official start date of his retrograde, so that means forget November to be an efficient month. Half the time your hair will be on fire as you try to cope with all the sudden twists and turns that will come up. Don\u2019t sign a contract in November, and avoid buying anything expensive, like a car or computer or valuable jewelry in November. It is never wise to buy a gift for someone you love when Mercury is out of phase\u2014you want to please that person but are likely to miss the mark.<\/p>\n
However, it\u2019s not Mercury retrograde that concerns me. It\u2019s unpredictable Uranus, acting in an unusually aggressive behavior on the full moon in Taurus November 5, and again on the new moon in Scorpio on November 20. Uranus will be in late degrees of Taurus before it makes its final move into Gemini on April 25, 2026, to stay for seven years.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s look closer. On November 4, right before the full moon, Mars and Uranus will be at loggerheads in a direct, tight opposition\u2014a hot, often volcanic and explosive effect, mostly emotional, but it could cause reckless activity and possible accidents.<\/p>\n
Then on November 20 at the new moon in Scorpio, Uranus will go after the Sun and new moon in an exact opposition, within two tiny degrees. This could make you reassess a close partnership in marriage, love, or business quite suddenly. If anyone has been a thorn in your side, you may reach the end of your rope at this new moon and in the days and weeks to follow. The Taurus who will feel the coming aspects the most will be those with a birthday that falls from May 17 to May 21 or close to these dates. Uranus is directly opposition your Sun, an aspect that is known to be separative.<\/p>\n
Note: Anyone with Taurus rising 27-29 degrees, or those with a natal planet within the range of those degrees (falling in Taurus), will also feel the rumblings in November. You see why I feel it will be critical that you get things wrapped up this month.<\/p>\n

Alternatively, you may hear that you are getting new software or shiny new computers to allow you to be more productive.<\/p>\n
This new moon is in your sixth house and favors the acquisition and care of little domestic pets. If you want to add a little dog or cat to your household, wait until this new moon appears on October 21, and start to browse in the days that follow. You\u2019re sure to find one little furry creature that you feel a strong connection to.<\/p>\n
This same new moon has another bonus\u2014it is a fine time to start a new fitness regimen and to also take more care about the food and amount sleep you give your body.
