Compared to other months that you have come through lately, October will be quiet. This is likely good news, for you will be able to follow your personal agenda without fear that you will suddenly be blown off course. Work with a sense of purpose so that you can complete all of your most vital actions now—don’t let tasks lapse into November. November will be a difficult, trying month for nearly everyone.

Mercury will retrograde from November 9 to November 29, but you will begin to feel the slowdown much sooner, possibly starting as early as the last days of October. We always feel the postponements, delays, client indecision, forgetfulness, and problems with electronics start to happen two weeks before the formal turn backward. Mercury will start its retrograde in Sagittarius, but most of the time Mercury will retrograde in Scorpio, and if anyone owes you money, Mercury may slow down payments to you in November.

I want you to start your holiday shopping this month, and be sure not to shop for expensive gifts in November. By “expensive gifts” I am mainly referring to electronic items like a computer, smartphone, kitchen appliance, or car. I would also put off buying high-priced jewelry or furniture (mattresses, too). Also, it isn’t wise to sign contracts if you can help it—sign in October or in December. Mercury retrograde, however, is not the most pressing reason I am concerned about November.

Uranus will oppose both Mars and Mercury next month on November 4, one day prior to the full moon on November 5. The full moon will only heighten emotions. Mars opposed to Uranus is a hot aspect that can cause people to have outbursts of anger or rebellion. It can make people engage in reckless or impulsive behavior. It is a time of unstable, volatile emotions.
